Few things work together as well as high altitudes and cross-country ski trails. The nearby peaks provide a sublime backdrop, while snow reliability and well-groomed tracks guarantee smooth progress – whether you prefer the classic or the skating technique.

SUNNBÜEL HIGH ALTITUDE TRAIL

It is flat, it is wide, it is high – with these features, Spittelmatte was made for a sunny round of cross-country skiing. After a short descent from the summit station, up to 8 km (5 miles) of cross-country ski trails await you on the snowy plateau.

Cross-country skiers with good downhill technique can begin immediately from the summit station. However, we recommend that less experienced skiers make the first steep descent on foot. You will also find changing rooms, lockers, and showers at the summit station.
