FLORA TRAILS

Up on Sunnbüel, there are two fascinating circular, botanical walks. Choose between the “Stierebärgli Flora Trail” or the “Arvenseeli Flora Trail”. These can also be shortened and completed in two stages if you prefer.

STIEREBÄRGLI FLORA TRAIL

STAGE 1

Do the first stage of the circuit in a clockwise direction, following the signpost towards “Stock” at the Sunnbüel summit station. Once at Stock, pause to enjoy the breathtaking views of Kandersteg. Here the path makes a U-turn and you reach Sunnbüel again via Wintertäli. The hiking time for Stage 1 is about 90 minutes.

Here you can finish your hike or move on to Stage 2.

ARVENSEELI FLORA TRAIL

STAGE 2

Stage 2 takes you in the direction of the Arvenseeli. After passing the lakes, you will reach the Gemmi Pass Trail through the pine forest, which takes you back to the starting point on Sunnbüel. The hiking time for Stage 2 is also about 90 minutes.
