For a stress-free journey, we recommend using public transportation. Whether traveling through the Kandertal valley or from the Valais region via the Lötschberg Tunnel, you can easily reach Kandersteg by train.

A walking path (approx. 35 min.) leads directly from the train station to theSunnbüel cable car valley station. From there, the cable car takes you up to the Sunnbüel valley station cable car 8 minutes.

If you're traveling Sunnbüel car, the route takes you through the village of Kandersteg directly to theSunnbüel cable car valley station.

If you're visiting Sunnbüel car, follow the signs on the main road toward Kandersteg. Drive through the village to the end of the valley—brown "Sunnbüel" signs will guide you to the valley station.

Campers and vehicles longer than 5 meters and taller than 2 meters cannot park at the valley station due to construction work. Please park at the Schützenhaus parking lot or in the village. Limited number of spaces available.

Parking in Kandersteg is limited on weekends and during the summer season. We recommend traveling by public transportation. Paid parking spaces are available at the valley station. Please follow the parking guidance system and the instructions of the on-site traffic service.

Four 8kW electric charging stations are available in the parking lot at the valley station.

Please park only in the designated and signposted parking spaces or bays. Access roads must not be blocked.
