SNOWSHOE HIKING

On well-marked routes through unspoilt winter landscapes – while one trail takes you to the tranquillity of Spitelmatte, the other entices you with views as far off as Gasterntal. Snowshoes are also available for hire at the summit station.

SPITTELMATTE SNOWSHOE TRAIL

First solitary, then exposed – this trail nestles beneath the flanks of Üschinengrat before opening up to the expansive Spitelmatte. A moderately challenging circular tour that treats you to views of Altels and Rinderhorn, among other highlights.

STOCK SNOWSHOE TRAIL

One hour, two kilometres, countless winter highlights – this short trail starts and finishes at the Sunnbüel summit station and ticks all the boxes with its breathtaking views and a detour into the “winter valley”. Scrubland and open forest alternate at frequent intervals.
