WINTER HIKING

In the past, muleteers were attracted to Sunnbüel, but today the summit station is a year-round starting point for long hikes between the cantons of Berne and Valais. But there are also shorter versions that promise breathtaking views.

GEMMI PASS TOUR

This winter trail from the Sunnbüel summit station to the Gemmi Pass is a route with a long history. If the three-hour tour gives you an appetite, you can stop off at the Sunnbüel Restaurant, the Schwarenbach Hotel or the Gemmi Hotel Wildstrubel.

ALTELSBLICK WINTER-HIKING TRAIL

The second option is the well-prepared Altelsblick circular trail. This hour-long hike is particularly suitable for mountain lovers looking for a relaxing but satisfying walk. From the starting point at Sunnbüel summit station, the route heads towards Spittelmatti, with the sun overhead.
